What it can and can't do

Questions only read your data. The AI can save a result you want to keep into a scratch dataset. Nothing already in your warehouse can be changed or deleted.

Every query stops at 1 GB scanned and 1000 rows.

Security

  • Everyone connects with their own Kaivo account, so nobody sees more through an AI tool than they already can in Kaivo

  • Kaivo checks every query against who signed in rather than trusting the AI to behave, so a manipulated agent still can't reach anything you couldn't open yourself

  • AI tools query the warehouse Kaivo already maintains for you, never a copy made for them. Nothing is exported, indexed, or moved anywhere else, and queries run in the EU against your live data

  • Only what your question returns reaches your AI tool: never a whole table, and never more than 1000 rows

  • You choose the AI tool, and Kaivo never introduces one of its own. Whatever your agreement with Claude or ChatGPT says about training and retention is what applies here.

  • Every question leaves an audit trail: who asked, what they asked, and how much it scanned
