Support
You can reach our support team via chat in the bottom right corner of the Kaivo application, or by email at support@kaivo.io. We also have a Help Center with guides covering connectors, some data tools, and common setup questions. For connecting data tools, you will also find step-by-step instructions directly inside the Kaivo application under the Data tools tab.
No. Kaivo is designed to be easy to use for anyone. The setup process is simple: sign up, select a data source, and follow the instructions. No coding, server configuration, or separate data warehouse setup is needed.
In the Kaivo application, go to the Data connectors tab and click "New connector". Search for your data source, authenticate, then select which tables to sync and set a sync schedule. For a full walkthrough, see the Setup Connector article in our Help Center.
The method depends on your tool and how you signed up. Users with a Google account can connect most tools directly using Google OAuth. Users who signed up with a regular email address create a service account in Kaivo and enter the JSON key file in their tool's BigQuery connection settings. Connecting dbt Cloud requires assistance from the Kaivo team. Step-by-step guides for the most widely used tools are available in the Data Tools section of our Help Center.
A service account is a set of credentials (a JSON key file) that gives a BI tool secure access to your BigQuery data warehouse without using a personal Google account. You need one when connecting Preset, Metabase, ThoughtSpot, or Tableau using service account authentication, or if you signed up for Kaivo with a regular email address. Create a service account in your Kaivo workspace on the Service accounts page. Instructions are in the Setup Service Account article in our Help Center.
Yes. By adding the BigQuery connector to Claude, you can analyze your Kaivo data using plain language directly in Claude Desktop or on claude.ai. The required credentials (Client ID, Client Secret, and BigQuery Project ID) are available from your Kaivo workspace under data tool instructions for Claude. For a full walkthrough, see the Connecting Claude to Kaivo article in our Help Center.
dbt Cloud requires a brief setup process with help from the Kaivo team. Use the chat in the bottom right corner of the Kaivo application to get in touch, and we will provide the required credentials and connection instructions.

Why Kaivo
Your dev team does great work on your core product. Data integrations are a different discipline: every API changes, every connector needs ongoing maintenance. Kaivo handles that so your developers can stay focused on what they were hired to build.
Power BI and Tableau are visualization tools. They need clean, centralized data to work from. Kaivo is the layer that brings all your sources into one place. Your reports get a single reliable source instead of pulling from a dozen separate systems.
You could. But building a single connector can take days, not to mention data validation, transformation, and maintaining the data warehouse. Furthermore, every API change means maintenance work across multiple layers. Kaivo pays for itself with the very first connector.
AI is great at writing the first version of a connector. The hard part comes after: systems' APIs change along with their schemas, authentication breaks, and rate limits shift, not to mention maintaining the data warehouse. You end up with an AI-written connector that needs a human to fix it. All of Kaivo's connectors are maintained full-time so you never have to think about it. Once your data is centralized, you can connect it directly to Claude or any other AI tool you use.
Setting up a connector takes no more than a few minutes, and your data is ready in the warehouse typically within hours, often within minutes. In the best case, you can get to your first answers in minutes.
That's exactly what Kaivo is built for. The more systems you have, the greater the need for a single data warehouse. Kaivo pulls them all together automatically.
Custom IT projects require a massive upfront investment before you see a single row of data. With Kaivo, there are no setup fees, and you can try the platform completely commitment-free for the first 28 days. That means you see real value before paying a single dime. On top of that, project work goes stale the moment APIs change. Kaivo's monthly fee isn't just for moving data; it's a guarantee that your pipelines keep working without unexpected bills.
